Samsung Galaxy M55s: Upcoming Launch in India with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC The Samsung Galaxy M55s has surfaced on the BIS certification site with the model number SM-M558B/DS, indicating an imminent launch in India. The Galaxy M55s is rumored to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, positioning it as a powerful contender in the mid-range segment.
Samsung Galaxy M55s Specifications and Certifications
Recent listings on Geekbench and the Wi-Fi Alliance suggest that the Samsung Galaxy M55s is in development. Although official confirmation is pending, the phone’s appearance on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site adds credibility to these rumors.
Expected Specifications
While details from the BIS listing are limited, Geekbench hints that the Galaxy M55s will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, similar to the nubia Flip and Samsung Galaxy F55. It is expected to include an Adreno 644 GPU, at least 8GB RAM, and run on Android 14 out of the box. Additionally, it will support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands.
Given its naming convention, the Galaxy M55s may share several features with the Samsung Galaxy M55, which launched in India in April. The M55 boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED Plus display with 1000 nits peak brightness, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, up to 12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support.
For photography enthusiasts, the Galaxy M55 5G features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 50MP selfie camera with advanced features like AI-powered Image Clipper, Object Eraser, and Nightography.
